Tell us about your work experience in HR.
I am a passionate Talent Acquisition Strategist with 15 plus years of experience. I started my career as Channel Coordinator where I was responsible to hire experienced technical ERP professionals and over the years gained expertise in technical, sales, consulting and strategic hiring in information technology companies. I had the opportunity to move from talent acquisition to resource management and people advisor role which helped me to have great learning in the complete lifecycle of candidate hiring and management. Currently, I am managing consulting and technical hiring across North America in Wipro Limited
What are the unique talents you bring to the field?
I would say it would be my recruiting and candidate management skills. I have supported various service lines and verticals in hiring professionals for Strategic roles.
Share your biggest success story in HR so far.
I have moved from technical hiring to consulting and strategic hiring. Also, I supported the growth of consulting practice in the last couple of years. I received multiple accolades from my business practice leads.
What is the best advice you’ve received during your career path, and from whom?
Never give up and never shy away from asking for help. I had received this advice from one of the senior hiring leads during my career tenure with Accenture.
What’s your favorite HR tech tool?
There are multiple tools. But in sourcing, I have been using Prophet and Swordfish.
As an HR professional, how do you handle recruiting to achieve the best results?
I believe in following –
- Be organized
- Have constant and open conversations with the hiring manager
- Good research helps in effective search
- Do not hesitate to ask for help
What do you hope to achieve in 2020?
In the New Year, I would like to learn more about AI and Automation tools in recruitment space and utilize them at work.
