Tell us a little about your work experience in HR.
After a short stint at MRI, I founded Cornerstone Search, in 1996, with a focus on partnering with early-stage software to build the best enterprise sales and executive teams possible. We are very proud that our hires not only stay with our client 2x the industry norm but over 80% of the people we place rank among the top producers in their companies. This success has lead to multiple podcast appearances and being invited to be a member of the Pinnacle Society: consisting of the top 80 recruiters in the country.
What are the unique talents you bring to the field?
The ability to actually save our clients money. Every month a sales seat goes empty, costing our typical client over $83,000 a month in lost revenue. We take the pain away, quickly and effectively – filling roles in under 30 days (contract to hire). I bring an active network of top producers/ leaders who know that I only work on quality opportunities with solid ethical leaders.
What’s your favorite HR tech tool?
-Crelate.com – My ATS and my phone. I’m an old school recruiter still log 5 hrs a day on the phone, plus text, email, and social media, (top 1% most viewed person on LinkedIn).
As an HR professional, how do you handle recruiting?
That’s all I do. And in the tightest labor market in history, no less. Using a focused outside recruiter who has built a trusted network of top performers is key. We all have LinkedIn and the same names — the difference is that a top recruiter can quickly find the ideal person and get them to the table to talk with the hiring company.
What do you hope to achieve by the end of 2019?
Building a stronger and better relationship with my clients from HR to the VP of Sales to CEO.
